Maastricht is located in the heart of Europe, in the Meuse-Rhine Euro region. The city is surrounded by Belgium and Germany and close to France. Cities such as Liège, Aachen, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Brussels are therefore very near. Maastricht is easily accessible by plane, train and car.

Brussel Zaventem Airport is Belgium’s main airport and is situated only 100 kilometers from Maastricht. It has a wide variety of both European and Intercontinental flights and airlines. Düsseldorf International Airport is situated approximately 110 kilometers from Maastricht and has also a wide variety of European and Intercontinental flights. In addition, delegates can also fly to Amsterdam Schiphol. Maastricht has excellent train connections with Schiphol Airport, which takes approximately 2,5 hours. The train stops at Maastricht Central Station, which is situated in the city center.
Train
Maastricht has excellent train connections both national and international. Every 30 minutes there is an intercity train connection with Eindhoven, Utrecht and Amsterdam. Frequently there are connections to Liège (Belgium), Brussels (Belgium) and Aachen (Germany) where you can change to international trains – Thalys, TGV, Eurostar – to London, Paris and other European cities. Maastricht has three railway stations: Maastricht Central, Maastricht North and Maastricht Randwyck. From Central you can walk directly into the city centre where many hotels are located. Maastricht North gives you direct access to the city’s suburbs. Randwyck Station is located only 250 meters from the MECC Convention Centre, where CinC 2018 will take place. Also the Academic Hospital (azM), Maastricht University, Maastricht School of Management and many hotels are situated in the Randwyck station area.
By car
Because of the central location of the city, Maastricht is also easy accessible by car from all directions.
